Fair President’s Welcome

It is with great pleasure I invite everyone to enjoy and participate in our 2021 Anne Arundel County Fair! YOUR County Fair is a non-profit organization run and managed entirely by volunteers.  Our volunteers donate their time and energy to make the Anne Arundel County Fair a success and their continued dedication allows us all to enjoy such a longstanding and rich tradition, most importantly, we would like you to participate as well!

From agriculture activities including county-grown produce, crops, and livestock, to craft displays and works of art, live entertainment, pony rides, carnival rides and games, as well as many interactive activities for the family, horse and tractor pulls, sawmill, antique tractors, and food!

Our fair has something for everyone.  If you or a family member created a craft during the year, we have an entry class for you. We welcome your entries and are excited that you become part of your fair!

Please take a relaxing look through our exhibitor’s catalog.  I am sure you will find an item or 2 that you can enter and possible win a coveted first-place blue ribbon.  The catalog has all the information, rules, how to enter, judging, and the award process.  The Entertainment Guide gives the rundown on the many exciting live entertainment acts we have throughout the week.

We look forward to seeing you September 15th to the 19th at the fairgrounds in Crownsville where our talented residents and youth groups will once again be displaying and competing with the best the county has to offer.  Our fair offers a way to spend the day with family and friends and enjoy the many exhibits that will be on display.  We look forward to you joining us at the fair!

It has been a very tough and challenging year for all of us.  With the cancellation of last year’s fair (except for a livestock show), and the passing of our Fair President John Kozenski Jr, who served for 19 years, it will be great to see the fairgrounds bustling with energy. John loved the fair like no other.  While enjoying this year’s fair, please remember to smile. John will most certainly see you.

Thank you again to all of our dedicated volunteers and membership who make this fair possible. And if you would like to volunteer, just ask!

I also would like thank those volunteer organizations who volunteer their time to our community and Fair. We thank you for your time: AACo. 4-H and FFA, Local Boy Scout Troops, Girl Scouts, AACo. Antique Tractor Club, Master Gardeners, Reserve Officers, AACo Farm Bureau, and Herald Harbor Volunteer Fire Dept. and other Volunteer Fire Dept, and Arundel Rivers Federation. Thanks to other supporting state and county organizations and Departments for their dedication to the integrity, support and safety of our agricultural exhibits. Organizations like the Agricultural Fair Board, MAAFS/Maryland Association of Agricultural Fairs and Shows, UME/Cooperative Extension, MD Farm Bureau, Soil Conservation and many MDA and DNR departments.

To our local Business supporters thank you for making this fair better to serve its community whether it was as a fair sponsor, vendor, advertiser, donator or contributor. To all the US Military and First Responders including our County Police and Sheriff’s Departments who provide for our continued freedom and protection.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!
